近年、銚子市内に生息するゲンジボタルは生息環境等の悪化に伴って減少しつつある。本研究では、現在も生息が確認されている銚子市八木町と、過去に生息が確認されていた銚子市小畑川およびその水源の水質環境を比較し、ゲンジボタルの生息に必要とされる環境条件について調査することを目的とした。 東京ゲンジボタル研究所によるゲンジボタル生息地の水質は、溶存酸素量が6.8～11.8mg/L、アンモニア態窒素濃度が0.03～0.12 ppm、硝酸態窒素濃度が0.43～0.45 ppm と報告されている。この値を参考値とすると、小畑川においては溶存酸素濃度が2.28～6.71 mg/L 、アンモニア態窒素濃度が2.29ppm(9月)を示したことから、小畑町周辺水域ではホタルの生存に必要な溶存酸素量が少なく、生物にとって毒性の強いアンモニア態窒素の濃度が高いことがわかり、現在の小畑川の水質はゲンジボタルの生息に適さないことが示唆された。また、小畑川は護岸整備も行われていることから、これらの要因が複合してゲンジボタルが消滅したと考えられた。一方、銚子市八木町周辺においては、硝酸態窒素濃度がこれまでに報告されている生息範囲を大幅に超える値が観測されたにも関わらず、ゲンジボタルの生息が確認された。この結果から、硝酸態窒素については従来の報告よりゲンジボタルの適正範囲が広いことが示唆された。","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_1_source_id_13":{"attribute_name":"雑誌書誌ID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA1230240X","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_1_text_10":{"attribute_name":"著者所属(英)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_text_language":"en","subitem_text_value":"Department
